I bought an Astra Estate from Hightown Cars 6 weeks ago and so far it seems like a very good decision , no problems and a nice car to drive , over 1000 miles so far. Chris was honest and fair and the buying process an easy and pleasant experience. I would not hesitate to purchase another car from Hightown even though it meant a 4 hour round trip to get to Ringwood !

Oil light came on within 30mins of driving my car after rich saying it had just been filled up, there was also white smoke coming out of the exhaust. When I called Rich he told me 'oh yes there is an oil leak' I felt he was quite patronising on the phone and compared the car to a pair of jeans, he also said that the oil leak wasn't fixed because I wanted to car on a certain day (after waiting a week for it already) which was not the case at all as I already have another working car and told him I was in no rush. Rich was very quick to to give me a refund and did not offer to fix it- leaving me sceptical about how big the problem may have been. Rich also admitted he NEVER should have sold me that car , leaving me £65 out of pocket with the petrol I put in as it was on red and the loss from insurance cancellation fees.

Bought a car from here didn’t spot a problem with I bought it, got home after a few days started noticing a noise from the engine bay, kept being told there’s nothing wrong it’s had and mot etc when I kept asking for it to be repaired all I got was bring it back for a refund so in my mind that’s a guilty conscience knowing it wasn’t right in the first place!! Be very careful when you buy from here never know what your walking in to!!

Thanks for you review Ian. It’s very important when leaving a review like this to tell the truth. You were booked in for a diagnostic last week as you believed you had a fault with the car, however before bringing your car to our garage you bombarded me with text messages most of them at unsociable hours of the night and early morning. Day 1 you thought you had a puncture, day 2 was a wobbly pedal and it went on and on. You demanded that a mechanic stripped the entire engine down, whilst you watched, all because you thought you could hear a squeak. It got to the point where it was obvious the only fair solution for both of us moving forward was for you to have a full refund. Having now given you a full refund, we have had an independent mechanic do a full inspection of the the car and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE and no reason for me to have a guilty conscience whatsoever.
